Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

The Primary/ Principal Author (henceforth referred as AUTHOR) and all co-authors, if any, having submitted the WORK to ISG (henceforth referred as PUBLISHER), to be published in the Journal of Geomatics (henceforth referred as the PUBLICATION), hereby agree that:
- The AUTHOR certifies that the submitted WORK, all parts thereof and associated materials are original. The AUTHOR has consulted all the Co-Authors of the submitted WORK and the submission is with full consensus of all the co-authors; the WORK does not infringe any copyright, proprietary right or any other right of any third party; and the AUTHOR and co-authors are the sole owners of the WORK.
- The AUTHOR and co-authors have not transferred any rights of the WORK to third parties, which would be in conflict with this agreement. The WORK has not been previously published anywhere including any journal, book or conference proceedings or other publication in print, electronic or any other media, and the WORK is not under consideration with any other party for publication, except as follows:
- The AUTHOR grants the PUBLISHER complete rights to publish, copy, distribute, display, and archive the WORK. These rights to publish, copy, distribute, display, and archive are perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable and free of royalty.
- Subsequent to the acceptance by the PUBLISHER to publish the WORK, the AUTHOR needs to seek prior written permission from the PUBLISHER for usage, reproduction or reprint of the WORK for publication with any other third party. The PUBLISHER may grant permission to the AUTHOR for such publication subject to appropriate reference to the PUBLICATION and PUBLISHER in such publication.
- The AUTHOR and co-Authors and their employers retain the right to revise, adapt, prepare derivative works, present orally, or distribute the WORK provided that all such uses is for the personal non-commercial benefit of the AUTHOR’ or for the promotion of the business enterprise of the employer or both and is consistent with any prior contractual agreement between the AUTHOR’, co-Authors and their employers.
- The authors and their employers retain all proprietary rights in any process, procedure, or article of manufacture described in the WORK.
- This agreement sets forth the entire understanding of the AUTHOR, co-authors and PUBLISHER with respect to the WORK and supersedes any prior understandings
- The AUTHOR and co-Authors shall be responsible for resolving any claims and disputes including the originality of the content of the WORK from any third party at their own cost and risk. The AUTHOR shall keep the publisher indemnified against all such claim or disputes.
- The AUTHOR and co-authors who are government employees and who have conducted the WORK as a part of their duties cannot transfer the copyright as given in clause 3 above. However, they acknowledge that the PUBLISHER has the right to publish, distribute, reprint and archive the WORK in all forms and media. (To be struck off if not applicable)
- All disputes arising from or incidental to the present agreement shall be governed by the laws of Government of India and subject to the jurisdiction of courts of Ahmedabad (India).
